Introduction
John Power, 2nd Earl of Tyrone, was born in 1664 and died in 1693. He was the husband of Katherine FitzGerald, Viscountess Grandison, a British noble who lived from 1660 to 1725. Their daughter, Harriet Villiers, died in 1736 and was the mother of William Pitt, 1st Earl of Chatham, who served as Prime Minister of Great Britain from 1766 to 1768. William Pitt the Younger, a notable British statesman, was the son of William Pitt, 1st Earl of Chatham.
