Introduction
Prince Min of the Plain, whose Manchu name is Jilacungga Giyūn Wang, was born on March 19, 1858, during the eighth year of Xianfeng Emperor's reign (Qing Dynasty), on the fifth day of the second lunar month, during the Chou hour. His mother was Consort Xu Jia, at the time a Noble Lady, with the title of Imperial Noble Consort. Prince Min died shortly after his birth, at the Mao hour, and was not given a name. After his death, he was posthumously bestowed the noble title of Prince and received the style name "Min."
His father was the Xianfeng Emperor of the Qing Dynasty, and Prince Min was his second son. His elder brother was Zaichun, who, according to historical records, was the only son of the Xianfeng Emperor. The birth and early death of Prince Min are recorded in the imperial family annals, with the title of Prince and the style name documented. This event is recorded in the genealogical records of Qing imperial princes, following specific biographical and genealogical formats.
Prince Min was the last-born prince in the Qing Dynasty and in Chinese imperial history. The related records and research materials are included in historical textual sources, often referencing works such as the "Four Genealogies of the Qing Imperial Family."
