Arthur Kardashian was the father of Robert Kardashian Sr. and the son of Armenian immigrants to the United States. His parents, along with all four of Robert Kardashian’s grandparents, emigrated from the Ottoman Empire to America in the early 20th century. They came from the provinces of Kars and Ardahan, regions that today lie within modern-day Turkey.
The Kardashian family left the Ottoman Empire before the outbreak of the Armenian genocide in 1915, settling in the United States and beginning a new life. Arthur Kardashian, as part of this immigrant lineage, carried forward the Armenian heritage and traditions within the family.
Through his marriage to Helen, Arthur Kardashian became the father of Robert Kardashian Sr., who would later rise to prominence as a successful attorney and the father of the Kardashian siblings known worldwide today. Arthur’s legacy is tied both to the immigrant journey of survival and to the establishment of the Kardashian family in America.
