Li Taiming

A certain musicologist and doctor of acoustics, he previously engaged in recording engineering research at Warner Brothers Pictures in the United States. His academic background includes a master's degree in musicology and a doctorate in acoustics. In his musical career, he has frequently collaborated with the renowned singer Qi Yu. In 1988, he participated in producing Qi Yu's English-language album "Whoever Finds This, I Will Love Him" (translated title), which marked the beginning of their relationship. The two married in 1991 and had a daughter named Li Jie. Despite achieving certain accomplishments in musical collaboration, their marriage ended in divorce in 1999 due to incompatible personalities. During their collaboration, he helped Qi Yu establish a solid position in Taiwan's folk music scene. Their partnership was driven by shared musical interests, but they were unable to maintain their marriage.

In terms of academic and public activities, he hosted a lecture on July 16, 2022, titled “How Sound Unconsciously Influences Everyone.” In this lecture, he analyzed the propagation characteristics of sound and its impact on society and culture from a scientific perspective.
