Introduction
Wang Zhen, courtesy name Ke'an, was from Shangyuan County in Yingten Prefecture, Nanjing, South Zhili (modern-day Nanjing, Jiangsu). He was a military general of the Ming Dynasty, bestowed the posthumous title of Kangmu. In the early years of the Chenghua Emperor's reign, he was appointed as the Commander of the Left Guard of the Jewel Troops. Later, due to his daughter becoming Empress Xianzong Chun, he was promoted to the concurrent knowledge officer of the Central Army Headquarters. In the fourth year of Chenghua, he was further promoted to the Right Commander-in-Chief. Wang Zhen was known for his honesty, sobriety, and prudence. Despite enjoying fame and favor, he maintained a simple character and was regarded as possessing the demeanor of an elder. He passed away in June of the tenth year of Chenghua, and was posthumously titled Kangmu. He was also conferred the title of Marquis of Fuguo and given the posthumous name Kangmu. His sons included Wang Yuan, Wang Qing, and Wang Jun.
