Edward Herndon I

Edward Herndon I was born on May 23, 1678, and died on March 9, 1758. He was the father of Edward Herndon, Jr., who lived from 1702 to 1759. Edward Herndon, Jr., was the parent of Joseph Herndon, born in 1737 and deceased in 1810. Joseph Herndon was the father of Dabney Herndon, who lived from 1783 to 1824. Dabney Herndon was the father of William Lewis Herndon, an American explorer. William Lewis Herndon was the father of Ellen Lewis Herndon, who married Chester A. Arthur, the President of the United States from 1881 to 1885.
