Introduction
Margaret Fenton, who died in 1667, was the daughter of Elizabeth Waller, Baroness Shelburne. Elizabeth Waller was an Anglo-Irish peer, and her lineage included Anne FitzMaurice, the Irish noblewoman. Anne FitzMaurice was the daughter of Elizabeth Waller. William Petty, the 2nd Earl of Shelburne and a British Prime Minister from 1737 to 1805, was the son of John Petty, the 1st Earl of Shelburne, who in turn was the son of Anne FitzMaurice.
