Coolidge was the father of John Calvin Coolidge Sr., who also served in the Vermont General Assembly. He was the grandfather of Calvin Coolidge, who became the 30th President of the United States.
Calvin Galusha Coolidge died on December 15, 1878, in his hometown of Plymouth, Vermont, at the age of 63.
