Introduction
Elizabeth Montagu, born on December 30, 1672, was the mother of Christopher Hatton, 1st Viscount Hatton, an English aristocrat and diplomat. She was the grandmother of Anne Finch, Countess of Nottingham, and thus the great-grandmother of Lady Mary Finch. Lady Mary Finch was the mother of Charles Watson-Wentworth, 2nd Marquess of Rockingham, who served as a British Prime Minister.
