Introduction
Ai Chong, the Crown Prince Zhu Zaiji, courtesy name Zhu Zaitian, was born in the twelfth year of the Jiajing era (August 1533). He was the illegitimate eldest son of Ming Emperor Shizong Zhu Houcheng, and his mother was Consort Yan. He died just two months after his birth (October 1533), at the age of only two months. He was posthumously honored as Ai Chong Crown Prince and was originally buried in Xishan. Later, his remains were moved to Tianshou Mountain and reburied together with his mother.
