Meng Danqing

Meng Danqing (Chinese name: Meng Danqing), born in South Korea and holding Swiss nationality. He studied at the University of Florida and also completed Chinese language training at Tsinghua University in China. Meng Danqing began his career in 2007, during which he studied abroad at Tsinghua University for one year and worked at a well-known talent management company. Later, in 2012, he entered the Chinese entertainment industry, joining CAA China, where he held various positions in the film department and was promoted to its president in 2018.

In his personal life, Meng Danqing married Zhang Mo, the daughter of renowned Chinese director Zhang Yimou, in Beijing in January 2013. Specific details about his family relationships have not been disclosed.

In 2022, Meng Danqing starred in the Chinese film "Sniper," playing the role of Dan and also served as the director. The film was released in 2022. Additionally, on December 12, 2022, he was announced to officially assume the position of CEO of IMAX China on January 9, 2023. This appointment was jointly announced by IMAX China (stock code: 1970.HK) and IMAX Corporation (NYSE: IMAX).

Starting from 2023, Meng Danqing has been serving as CEO. He attended events such as the 18th and 19th Huabiao Awards Ceremony held on May 23, 2023, which was covered by the media. His career trajectory demonstrates ongoing growth and leadership within the entertainment industry, particularly in management roles within multinational companies.
