Introduction
Princess Taihe was a Ming Dynasty princess, the second daughter of Emperor Mu of Ming. Her mother was Empress Chen. Her exact year of birth is unknown, but based on the birth year of her half-sister, Princess Penglai, it is estimated to be 1557 or later. She died early in the morning on the Bingchen day of the 39th year of the Jiajing era (August 1560), at only a few years old. At that time, her father was still Prince Yü. Her funeral was conducted according to customary burial practices. In the first year of Longqing (1567), Emperor Mu of Ming posthumously honored her as Princess Taihe. The specific date of her birth and her life events have not been detailed in historical records.
