Chen Changqi

This professor, a doctoral supervisor and Master of Engineering, serves as the head of the Fluid Machinery and Engineering discipline at Hefei University of Technology and as the director of the Institute of Vacuum Science and Technology and Equipment. He is an executive director of the Chinese Vacuum Society, a council member of the Anhui Province Low-Temperature Engineering Society, and also serves as an editorial board member for the Journal of Vacuum Science and Technology, Vacuum, and the Hefei University of Technology Journal (Natural Sciences Edition). He is also a member of the Anhui Provincial CPPCC. From 1992 to 2003, he concurrently held the post of Party Secretary of the Department of Precision Instruments and the School of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering at Hefei University of Technology, while also serving as a member of the university’s Party Committee. He is currently engaged in graduate education, with teaching and research directions including film physics and technology, vacuum engineering application technology, and cryogenic engineering application technology, among others.

In terms of research, he has led or participated in national 973 programs, the Natural Science Foundation, key projects, and the Ministry of Science and Technology Innovation Fund, as well as provincial/ministerial and enterprise-units commissioned projects totaling more than 30; six projects are currently in progress. He has published more than 150 academic papers. His professional roles include executive director of the Chinese Vacuum Society, a council member of the Anhui Province Low-Temperature Engineering Society, and editorial board member for the Journal of Vacuum Science and Technology, the Hefei University of Technology Journal, and Vacuum magazine. An example paper abstract is for a paper titled “Design of a Process Control System for Ultrasonic Micro-Electrolytic Biological Oxidation Wastewater Treatment,” with authors Chen Changqi, Zhu Wu, Fang Yingcui, Gan Shuyi, and Wang Xianlu, from the College of Mechatronics Engineering, Hefei University of Technology. Research areas include: theory and equipment for vacuum physical vapor deposition (PVD) thin films; vacuum cryogenic engineering application technology and equipment; applications of vacuum-cryogenic plasma technology; microelectromechanical systems and related technologies; and methods and technologies for treating high-concentration organic wastewater.
