Lady Anne Spencer

Lady Anne Spencer (1773–1865) was the mother of Anthony Ashley-Cooper, the 7th Earl of Shaftesbury. She was married to Henry Temple, the 3rd Viscount Palmerston, a British statesman and prime minister who lived from 1784 to 1865. Lady Anne Spencer's daughter, Emily Temple, became the Viscountess Palmerston and was married to Henry Temple. Emily Temple, in turn, was the mother of Emily Ashley-Cooper, the Countess of Shaftesbury, who was married to Anthony Ashley-Cooper, the 7th Earl of Shaftesbury.
