Introduction

Sotnambudabuzi, also known as Sotnambudabu Zhai (蒙古: Содномдовчин), was a member of the Borjigit clan. He was from the Khorchin Left Wing Rear Banner of the Inner Mongolia league, a Mongolian prince and a noble of the Qing Dynasty, serving as a grand preceptor. He was the grandson of Qimete Dorji, the Zasak (prince) of Doro County in Khorchin.

In the 48th year of the Qianlong Emperor's reign (1783), he inherited his father’s noble title and was promoted to a Hou (junior prince). In the first month of the 4th year of the Jiaqing Emperor's reign (1799), he was summoned to serve before the court. In November of the 6th year of Jiaqing (1801), Princess Zhuangjing Heshuo, the third daughter of Jiaqing, recommended him as a courtier. In the 25th year of Jiaqing (1820), he was entrusted by imperial appointment. He passed away on the tenth day of the seventh month in the 5th year of Daoguang (1825) and was posthumously promoted to prince. He had no heirs; his adoptive son was Senge Linqin.
