Introduction
Yuan Quan, born in 1973 in Jingzhou, Hubei Province, China, entered the affiliated Middle Drama School of the Chinese Opera Academy at age 11, where she studied Peking Opera for seven years. In 1996, she was admitted to the Central Academy of Drama, becoming one of the "Seven Flowers" alongside Zhang Ziyi, Mei Ting, Hu Jing, Zeng Li, Zhang Tong, and Qin Hailu.
Her acting career began in 1998 when she starred in the film "Shanghai Chronicle," earning a nomination for Best Actress at the Golden Rooster Awards. In October of the same year, she signed with Red Star Production to officially enter the music industry. In 1999, she participated in shooting the MV for the new advertisement song for Wahaha mineral water and starred in her first film, "Spring Rhapsody," for which she won the Best Supporting Actress award at the 19th China Golden Rooster Awards for her role as Zhou Xiaomei. In 2004, she starred in the costume martial arts drama "Little Fish and the Flower," portraying Su Ying, the daughter of Poison Queen Su Ying. In 2013, she received the China Drama Plum Blossom Award for her stage performance in "Jane Eyre." Between 2014 and 2016, she participated in several films, including "Breakup Buddies," "The Age of Shadows," and "From Vegas to Macau 2."
Starting in 2017, she starred in the urban emotional drama "My First Half of Life," garnering recognition for her performance and earning the title of "Performer of the Year." She continued active engagement in various film and television projects, including "The Wind Rises," "Joy" ("Celebrating Yuyuan"), and "Golden Years." In 2021, she played leading roles in films such as "1921" and "Chinese Doctors," winning multiple acting awards.
