Chen Zexun

Chen Zexun, a member of a Hong Kong family, is the eldest son. His father, Chen Qiuda, married at the age of 26 in the same year Chen Zexun was born; four years later, his younger brother Eason Chan was born. When Chen Zexun’s brother studied in the United Kingdom, Chen Zexun took care of his brother at school.

In 2008, Chen Zexun’s father Chen Qiuda was sentenced to six years in prison for involvement in a case. He filed an appeal in February 2008 and was released in October 2008 under a supervised-release program. In the same year, Chen Qiuda underwent a living-donor liver transplant operation for Chen Zexun at Queen Mary Hospital in Hong Kong.

Regarding family matters, Chen Zexun is the eldest son. His father previously served as Chief Engineer of Building Services at the Hong Kong Housing Authority; his mother, Lu Yanhong, worked in clothing wholesale and settled in the United Kingdom in 2001. Regarding his brother, Chen Yixun (Eason Chan), born July 27, 1974 in Hong Kong and of ancestral origin from Dongguan, Guangdong; Eason Chan is a Mandarin pop singer, film actor, and composer, and holds an honorary doctorate from Kingston University, United Kingdom. During Eason Chan’s studies in the United Kingdom, Chen Zexun took care of his brother at school.
