Introduction
The twelfth daughter of Emperor Taizong of the Qing Dynasty, born in 1637 and died in 1678, her name is not recorded in existing historical materials. She was the twelfth daughter of Emperor Taizong (Hong Taiji) and the elder sister of Emperor Shunzhi, born of a concubine. Her mother was a consort of Hong Taiji, but her family name and clan are not documented in surviving historical records. According to historical accounts, in August of the eighth year of Shunzhi (1651), the twelfth princess was betrothed to a top guard regiment leader, Ban Di, who was of Börtöjídeg (Borjigin) descent. A betrothal was a marriage arrangement, and she married after the engagement. Ban Di was granted the title “Efu,” a designation indicating a male member linked through royal marriage within the royal family. After the accession of Shunzhi, many of her half-sisters received titles such as "Heshuo Princess," but she was not granted a princess title; instead, she was bestowed the rank of a village lord (Xiangjun). There are no detailed records regarding her specific life, duties, or activities within the palace. The existing historical sources do not provide comprehensive accounts of her early life or later activities. In October of the 17th year of Kangxi (1678), the village lord passed away at the age of forty-two.
