Introduction

Chang Zhu's wife, daughter of Takshi, and younger half-sister of Nurhaci. Her name is not recorded in the 1938 edition of the "Aisin Gioro Genealogy: Xinyuan Collection," but only appears in records from the Manchu archives. Her husband was Ula Buir (Prince Bilik) Chang Zhu. In the third lunar month of the Dingwei year (1607), during the Battle of Wujieyan, the Ula clan was defeated by the Jinchuan Jurchen, and Chang Zhu and his father were captured. Based on this, scholars infer that Chang Zhu's wife returned to her maternal home in Jinchuan Jurchen after her father and husband were taken captive. Subsequently, Chang Zhu and his clan were incorporated into the Manchu Bannerman of the Mugui (White) Banner. His son, Chamu Bu, became an envoy before the eighth year of the Tianming era (1623). In the tenth year of Tianming (1625), Chang Zhu's wife, along with her uncle Bazu Hu, Guo Xing'a, and others, was welcomed and feasted by Nurhaci with filial piety and respect. In the sixth year of the Tiansong era (1632), in January, Hong Taiji hosted a banquet for six elders, including Nikan A'ge's mother, Ula clan matriarch, Huifa clan aunt, Chamu Bu's mother, and Nanli's grandmother. After that, there are no further records concerning her deeds.
