Pace Wu

Wu Peici, born on May 23, 1982, is a native of Taipei, Taiwan. She showed a strong interest in acting from a young age, starting to shoot commercials at age 7, and later participating in print magazine shoots and TV commercials from age 16. During her third year of junior high school, she was discovered at McDonald's, which marked the beginning of her entertainment career.

Wu Peici officially launched her music career in 1998. In May of that year, she released her first album, "Pace," and in July, she released a Mandarin-language album titled "All My Pace," which won the Best Album Cover Award in Taiwan that year. In October, she collaborated with Xu Huaiyu, Li Xinjie, and Chen Chizheng to produce the album "Girl Specimen," and in December, she released a Cantonese album called "Pickiness." She continued to produce multiple albums, including the 2005 release "Look At Me" and the EP "Night Light Route." In 2007, she released her second major album, "New Womanizer," which received awards at various ceremonies.

Wu Peici is also active in film and television. In 2000, she starred in the film "Love and Sincerity," playing her girlfriend Jess, marking her official entrance into the entertainment industry. In 2002, she appeared in the TV drama "Meteor Garden 2." Later, she took on significant roles in numerous works, including the 2009 film "Chasing Shadows" and other movies such as "Ultimate Match" and "Doraemon: Nobita's Chronicle of the Moon Exploration." Her performances span various genres including comedy, action, and romance.

In publishing, Wu Peici released a beauty book titled "Beauty Expert" in 2005, sharing her skincare and makeup tips. She also authored a fashion styling book called "Wu Peici Private Wardrobe Diary: Fashion Alive." Additionally, she has participated multiple times in social welfare activities, including charity auctions, disaster relief efforts, and fundraising events.

Wu Peici's personal life has included several relationships. In 2008, she dated Malaysian businessman Peter Chen and later publicly acknowledged their breakup. In 2013, she announced her pregnancy; the father of her children is Ji Xiaobo. The couple has three sons and two daughters. She gave birth to a daughter in Hong Kong in 2014, followed by her second and third sons in 2015 and 2017. In 2020, she revealed she had given birth to another daughter in Hong Kong.

In recent years, Wu Peici has had limited public appearances and announced her gradual withdrawal from the entertainment industry. At the end of 2023, the Beijing First Intermediate People's Court announced the crackdown on a criminal group led by her fiancé Ji Xiaobo, drawing media attention. In 2024, she and Ji Xiaobo issued statements denying false reports such as her being wanted by authorities.

Wu Peici has received numerous awards in entertainment and fashion, including nominations for Best Supporting Actress at the UK WAUS International Chinese Film Festival, the Barbie Awards, and the Fashion Star Street Award. Known for her unique charisma, perfect proportions, and multi-talented image, she remains an influential public figure in the Chinese entertainment industry.
