Simeon Stevens

Simeon Stevens was born on April 29, 1735, in Hampton, New Hampshire, and died on July 6, 1788, in Newbury, Vermont. He was the son of Ens. Otho Stevens and a descendant of early American and Canadian lineage. His grandson, Otho Stevens Jr., was the father of Simeon Stevens. Simeon Stevens was also the great-grandfather of Judith Stevens, who was born in Newbury, Vermont, in 1771, and her daughter Malvina Stone, born in 1802. Malvina Stone was the mother of Chester A. Arthur, the 21st President of the United States, serving from 1881 to 1885.
