Elizabeth Swaine

Elizabeth Swaine, born in January 1706 in Newark, New Jersey, was the progenitor in a lineage that includes Thomas Ogden, her son, who lived from 1684 to 1760, and further descendants. Her grandson, David Ogden (1712–1777), was the father of Mary Ogden (1743–1814). Mary's son, Charles Carmichael (1779–1824), was the father of Caroline C. Fillmore, who became the second wife of Millard Fillmore, the 13th President of the United States, serving from 1850 to 1853.
