Masahiro Asō

Masahiro Aosо (born December 29, 1984, Showa 59), is a Japanese businessman and entrepreneur. His father is Taro Aso, the 92nd Prime Minister of Japan, and his aunt is Princess Takamado (Nobuko). His cousins include Princess Akiko and Princess Yoko.

Details about his birthplace and specific private information have not been publicly disclosed. He was born as the eldest son of Taro Aso in 1984. Regarding his education, while attending Keio University, he founded an internet venture and collaborated with Ryuichi Kawakami to establish Niconico's subsidiary, Niwango, contributing to the launch of the video platform Niconico Douga.

In March 2005, he co-founded a limited company called Sealink with a university classmate. In October 2006, he became a director of Exstone Corporation, engaging in businesses related to Niconico Douga, such as "Niconico Direct Sales" and "Niconico Market." In 2008, he studied abroad at William Jewell College in Missouri, USA.

In 2012, he joined Toyota Motor Kyushu, working in the Production Control Department. He resigned from the company in March 2014 and then joined Aso Corporation. Since 2015, he has served as the CEO of Aso Shōji, while also holding positions as a director of Aso Corporation, Aso Cement, and Aso Human Center.

In January 2023, he was appointed as the President of the Japan Junior Chamber (Junior Chamber International Japan). This marks the second generation in his family to hold this position, as his father, Taro Aso, also served as President in 1978.
