Quan Hongdao

Quan Hongtao, born on July 27, 2009, is from Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province. Her father is Quan Wenmao and her mother is Feng Lingmei; both are engaged in agriculture, primarily earning income from fruit tree cultivation. Among her family members, her elder sister is diving champion Quan Hongchan, and her younger brother is also a diving athlete, Quan Jinpeng.

Quan Hongtao has been influenced by diving from a young age. In 2018, she began diving training at the Zhanjiang Sports School under her mentor, coach Guo Yi, who is also her sister Quan Hongchan’s coach.

Her early career performance began in 2019. On June 19, 2019, she participated for the first time in a provincial competition—the Guangdong Juvenile Diving Subdivision (West Zone). In the competition, she ranked fifth in the women's individual all-around with a score of 99.4 points, and won a bronze medal in the women's synchronized springboard event with 120.3 points. On the same day, she placed fourth in the women's synchronized 3-meter springboard event.

In August of the same year, she took part in the Guangdong Youth Championships. Her team finished fourth in the team competition with a score of 2141.39 points. She ranked seventh in the women's synchronized 3-meter springboard with 149.07 points, and placed tenth in the individual all-around.

In 2020, although she did not qualify for the finals in individual events, she helped her team win the bronze medal in the Group C women's team category at the Guangdong Youth Championships. In 2021, she moved up to Group B, and at the Guangdong Youth Championships, she and her teammates finished seventh in the women's synchronized springboard event, with the team placing fourth overall.

In 2022, she achieved fifth place in the women's synchronized springboard and fourth in the women's team event at the 16th Guangdong Sports Games, representing Group B. In 2023, she performed very well at the Guangdong Youth Championships, winning third place in both the mixed男子和女子双人三米跳板 and women's synchronized 3-meter springboard events, and helping her team secure the runner-up position in the women's team competition.

Quan Hongtao's diving talent has been highly regarded, with her potential considered to still have room for development. Her career demonstrates consistent effort and steady improvement.
