Wang Yajun

Wang Yajun is the eldest son of Wang Hongwen, a former political figure of the People’s Republic of China, and his wife Cui Gendi. He was born and raised in Shanghai in a working-class family environment. His father served as Vice Chairman of the Chinese Communist Party during the Cultural Revolution and was a member of the ‘Gang of Four.’

After the family experienced major political changes, Wang Yajun entered the business world following China’s reform and opening-up, engaging in various commercial ventures and accumulating substantial business experience. He has worked mainly in industrial and investment sectors in Shanghai and surrounding areas, establishing a stable career.

Beyond his business activities, Wang Yajun has a strong interest in antique collecting, particularly in traditional Chinese artworks such as calligraphy, paintings, and porcelain. His expertise and collection have earned him a modest reputation within the antique and art circles.
