Liu Zhiyan

Liu Zhiyan (February 7, 1918 – December 12, 1967), male, Han ethnicity, from Changli, Hebei. He served as Deputy Director of the Personnel Department of the Central People's Government, Advisor at the State Council's Advisory Office, Director of the Organization Department of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party, Standing Committee Member of the Yunnan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China and Secretary of the Kunming Municipal Committee, Minister and Secretary of the Organization Department of the Southwest Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, among other positions. He was also the father of Liu He, the former Vice Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China. His daughter Liu Cha's husband is the current Mayor of Shanghai, Gong Zheng.
