Introduction

Gen'eemon Sato (whose life dates are unknown) was a samurai who served the Hagi Domain and was the ninth head of the Sato family of Hagi. His personal name was Nobutatsu. The lineage of Gen'eemon Sato can be traced back to Tadatsune Sato, who was a retainer of Minamoto no Yoshinaka.

His father was Ichirōemon Sato (Noritaka), and he had a younger brother named Kyūemon Tsuboi (Sato Kyūemon). Kyūemon Tsuboi succeeded the Tsuboi family. Among Gen'eemon Sato's children, one was Nobuhiro Sato.

Nobuhiro Sato is an ancestor of Shinzō Abe, who served as Prime Minister of Japan for the 61st, 62nd, and 63rd terms.

Gen'eemon Sato resided in Tabuse Town, Kumage District, Yamaguchi Prefecture.

According to family tradition, descendants include Shintaro Abe, who served as Prime Minister during the 56th and 57th terms (originally named Sato Shinsuke), and Shinzō Abe, who was his grandson on his mother's side. Additionally, Shinzo Abe's father, Shintaro Abe, was a former member of the House of Representatives, and his son, Shinzō Abe, served multiple terms as Prime Minister.

There are no records regarding the birth and death dates of Gen'eemon Sato, and detailed information about his life remains unknown.
