Introduction

Zhu Zhaoyou, the second King of Lü in the Ming Dynasty, was born on July 15, 1388, and died on August 25, 1466. His courtesy name is unknown. He was the grandson of Ming Taizu and the only son of King Huang of Lü, Zhu Tan. His mother was Lady Ge. Zhu Zhaoyou was born in the 21st year of Hongwu (1388) and was granted the title of Crown Prince in the 23rd year of Hongwu (1390). On the third day of the third month of the first year of Yongle (1403), he inherited the title of King of Lü. He authored the work "Peng Xu Gao."

Regarding his family, his official wife was the daughter of the Duke of Xinguo, Tang He. After reaching adulthood, he married Lady Yan, the daughter of Marshal Yan Jing. His concubines included Lady Liu, Lady Fu, and Lady Cai.

His children were: the eldest illegitimate son, King Anqiu Jinggong Zhu Taikan; the official second son, King of Lü Hui, Zhu Taikan; other sons included King Genghui of Leling, Zhu Tain, King Xishun of Juye, Zhu Tain, King Duanyi of Dong'e, Zhu Tairang, and King Zhuangjing of Zouping, Zhu Teyang. His daughters included Princess Yibin of Zucheng, Zhao Xuan; Princess Yibin of Wendeng, Kong Xigong; Princess Yibin of Yuncheng, Li Rang; Princess Yiben of Fushan, Tang Wenzan; and a fifth daughter who died early and was not granted a title.

Zhu Zhaoyou died in the second year of Chenghua (1466) at the age of 79. His tomb is located at the foot of Wuyun Mountain in Guanting Village, Dashu Town, Zoucheng, Shandong Province. An inscription titled "Record of the Tomb of King Lü" was unearthed there.
