Introduction
Zhang Qi is the only son of Zhang Chunqiao and his wife Wen Jing, born in 1959 in Shanghai.
As a young man, he was admitted to Changchun University. After graduation, he worked in Changchun, serving as deputy head of the Propaganda Group of the Changchun Revolutionary Committee.
In the late 1970s, after his father was arrested, he was subjected to isolation and investigation. However, since he had not engaged in any misconduct, he was soon released once the situation was clarified.
Afterward, the organization continued to assign him work in Changchun, where he remained until his retirement.
