Introduction
Changshu (Manchu: ᠴᠠᠭᡧᡠ, transliteration by Mulin De: Cangšu; 1637–1699), of the Aisin Gioro clan, was the seventh son of Qing Taizong. He was born on the 19th day of the fourth month in the second year of the Chongde era (1637). His biological mother was Concubine Yirgen Gioro. As a member of the imperial clan, he was granted the title of Duke of the State and awarded the rank of Duke Tieguo. The historical records mainly mention his background, maternal lineage, and noble titles, with no detailed accounts of his political or military activities. He passed away on December 25th, 1699, at the age of 63. Changshu had ten children. Records of his deeds are scattered in the "Draft History of Qing" (Qing Shi Gao), Volume 219, as well as in related genealogy and annals of the imperial clan, serving as historical documentation of a member of the Qing imperial family.
