Hester Emily Fortescue

Hester Emily Fortescue, who died in 1913, was the daughter of John Fortescue, born in 1796, and the granddaughter of Hester Grenville. Her great-grandmother was Elizabeth Wyndham, a British artist and writer who lived from 1720 to 1769. Hester Grenville, an English noblewoman, was the daughter of Elizabeth Wyndham and the mother of Hester Emily Fortescue’s father, John Fortescue. William Wyndham Grenville, 1st Baron Grenville, a British Prime Minister and politician who lived from 1759 to 1834, was the son of Elizabeth Wyndham.
