Introduction

Eisuke Mori (Chinese: 森 英介; pinyin: Sen Yingjie; born August 31, 1948) is a Japanese politician affiliated with the Liberal Democratic Party. He serves as a member of the House of Representatives in Japan's national legislature, the Diet. Mori held the position of Minister of Justice in the Asō Cabinet.

Born in Katsuura, Chiba Prefecture, Mori graduated from Tohoku University. In 1974, he joined Kawasaki Heavy Industries and later obtained a Ph.D. in engineering. His first election to the House of Representatives took place in 1990.

Mori comes from a family with a political background. His grandfather is Nobuteru Mori, who was a member of the House of Representatives. His father is Yoshihide Mori, who served as Minister of the Environment. His uncle is Kiyomoto Mori, who held the position of Somu-cho (Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications).

On September 24, 2008, during Prime Minister Tarō Asō's tenure, Mori was appointed as Minister of Justice. This appointment marked his first inclusion in the Japanese Cabinet.

Mori is associated with Nippon Kaigi, an organization known for its revisionist stance on historical and national issues.
