Introduction
Shunsuke Kishida (born July 29, 1930) is a Japanese bureaucrat and banking executive. He is from Hiroshima City, Hiroshima Prefecture. His highest educational background is the First Course of the Faculty of Law at the University of Tokyo (Private Law). He attended Tokyo Metropolitan Daiichi Junior High School and Tokyo High School (now attached to the Faculty of Education, University of Tokyo), and then entered the University of Tokyo. While enrolled at the University of Tokyo Faculty of Law, he passed the National Civil Service Exam for Sixth-grade Positions.

He retired from government service on June 10, 1986, and moved into the private sector. That same year, he became a director of Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation (NTT), and in 1988, he was appointed Senior Managing Director. In 1989, he served as a Special Advisor at NTT. During this period, in September 1989, he joined Hiroshima Bank, serving as an Executive Advisor, then as Senior Managing Director in 1990, and in September 1992, he became Vice President (Representative Director). In April 1993, he was appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors. He retired from the bank as Advisor in June 2000.
Additionally, Kishida was involved in educational activities, serving as Chairman of the Takuto Gakuen (So-toku Gakuen) from 1992 to 1995.
In terms of family relations, he is the second son of Masaki Kishida, a member of the House of Representatives, and brother of Fumiu Kishida. He is also the uncle of Fumio Kishida, the current Prime Minister of Japan. The Kishida family is actively involved in politics and business.
