Prince Thompson

Prince Oliver Thompson, born on December 12, 2016, is the son of Jordan Craig and Tristan Thompson.

He is the paternal half-brother of True, Theo, and Tatum.

Prince has a diverse heritage. Through his mother Jordan, he is Jamaican-American and Chinese-American, and through his father Tristan, he is Jamaican-American, as both of Tristan's parents are from Jamaica.

In terms of custody and financial support, Tristan Thompson was ordered by the court to pay $40,000 per month in child support, along with $200,000 in back payments. He must also deposit $1,250 monthly into a savings account for Prince, totaling $15,000 annually. If Prince attends a private school, Tristan is responsible for full tuition costs. Tristan also pays $2,000 per month for Prince’s private tutor and once paid Jordan $10,000 to cover outstanding pregnancy medical bills. Jordan Craig filed this case in September 2016, citing that Tristan had only seen their son nine times between his birth in December 2016 and November 2018.

Prince’s family background includes strong ties to entertainment and sports. His maternal grandfather, Carl Craig, is an executive producer at BET, responsible for shows like 'Real Husbands of Hollywood' starring Kevin Hart and 'American Soul.' He also produced music videos for NWA, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, and Kurupt, as well as comedy specials for Keenan and Damon Wayans, and shows like 'Big Black Comedy Show,' 'Michael Basden After Dark,' and 'Bill Bellamy’s Who’s Got Jokes.'

On Tristan’s side, Prince has uncles and relatives active in sports and music. His uncle Amari Thompson suffers from epilepsy and daily seizures, inspiring Tristan to establish the Amari Thompson Fund to help families with epilepsy. Another uncle, Dishawn Thompson, was once a highly rated basketball prospect before pursuing a rap career as 'Lil Early.' Uncle Daniel Thompson plays basketball in Canada. His grandmother Andrea was a track runner, while his grandfather played soccer, just as Tristan did before becoming a professional basketball player.

Prince is also the cousin of former Canadian Football League defensive tackle Jemal Thompson, who reportedly later became a firefighter in Canada.
