His first wife was from the Aisin Gioro clan, daughter of Minister Song Sen; his second wife was also from the Aisin Gioro clan, daughter of Wenhua.
Regarding his life and career, Baochu was skilled in painting and calligraphy in his early years. He authored "Huijingxuan Duhua Ji" (Records of Painting and Artistic Impressions), documenting his artistic observations and notes. His official positions included serving as a laminated Grand Secretary. According to records, in December of the 30th year of the Guangxu Emperor's reign (1904), Baochu was posthumously granted the title of Third-Class Chancellor of En. During the Boxer Rebellion in Gengzi year (1900), his mother from the Guaerjia clan was among those in the capital dealing with unrest; she dug a deep pit in advance, and Baochu, along with Sun Yuanwailang Lian Ding, Lian Rong, Lian Mi, Lian Hong, and others, jumped into the pit to commit suicide. After the event, those involved were reportedly rewarded for their loyalty.
