Introduction

Asuka Wada (born April 17, 1987) is a Japanese talent, model, food education instructor, and beauty cuisine researcher. She is affiliated with the agency remy, and her maiden name is Takahashi.

She was born in Setagaya Ward, Tokyo. She graduated from Rikkyo Jogakuin Elementary School and Rikkyo Jogakuin Junior and Senior High School, and in 2006, she entered Rikkyo University Faculty of Sociology. During high school, she served as student council president and was also selected as Miss Rikkyo. While enrolled at the university, she interned at MTV Japan.

In her personal life, she married Wada Ritsu, the second son of Wada Makoto and Hirano Rem, whom she met through job hunting. Wada Ritsu is eight years older than her. Initially, her knowledge about ingredients and cooking was limited—for example, she thought the difference between cabbage and lettuce was their harvesting locations, and she considered shijimi, asari, and hamaguri clams just different in size. She also once thought that saury and moray eels were the same species. Her interest in cooking and ingredients was sparked by Hirano Rem's influence, and she subsequently obtained a food education instructor license. She has three children.

Her works include pregnancy art in which she drew pictures on her large pregnant belly, with her signature piece being "Anzan Man" (Easy Delivery Man). In addition to creating art that utilized the shape of her pregnant abdomen, she pioneered "sleep pose art," where props are arranged around a sleeping baby for photos. These works were featured in magazines such as "Camera Nichiyo" (which she serialized until 2015) and "Joshi Camera."

Her television appearances include co-starring with Hirano Rem in "Rem-san's Dining Table" (FOODIES TV) in 2015, and appearing in NHK's "Hirano Rem no Hayawaza Recipe Series." Between 2016 and 2017, she was a Friday regular on BS Nippon's "Masa no Dodonpa!" and from 2016 to 2019, she appeared as a Thursday personality on TBS's "Haketsu Live Bibitto." Other appearances include TV Asahi's "Kazokuyaro!!!," RKB Mainichi Broadcasting's "Wada Asuka's A Recipe" (started October 30, 2021), NHK's "Kyō no Ryōri" (started April 28, 2023, airing every Friday 12:20-12:45), Kansai TV's "Momoko no OH! Sore! Mīyo!" (started April 15, 2023, as a monthly regular segment "Wada Asuka's Ashita no Recipe"), and BS Teletoon’s "Wada Asuka to Yuru Taku Nomi" starting January 25, 2024.

She has also appeared in television dramas, notably playing a cooking school instructor in the first episode of "The Grand Master of the Household" (Yomiuri TV / Nippon TV) in 2020.

Additionally, she has radio appearances: guest on NHK Radio 1's "Karen Style" on February 4, 2016; and since April 2021, appeared on NHK-FM's "Nemurenai Anata e," as well as on FM NACK5's "Cheerful Cheers!" from January 2025.

As a model, she has been featured on the cover of Recruit's "Aka Sugu" in 2012, "Baby to Mama" in 2015, and "Carry me!". Her commercial appearances include Canon's "Design Cube NEW PIXUS" (started September 2016) and Y!mobile's "Oya-ko Dōn!" campaign (2022). In particular, her Y!mobile commercial features collaboration with her mother-in-law, Hirano Rem, as well as Tetsuro Degawa and Mana Ashida.

Her published works include "Hirano Rem to Asuka no 'Yome Shogu Gohan Monogatari'" (2015), "Wada Asuka-sanchi no Costoco Gohan" (2016), and "Kodomowa Aibō Nayamatena Kosodate" (2018).
