Introduction
John Minthorn, born near Hartford, Connecticut, on October 4, 1768 or 1769, and deceased near Oakwood, Ontario, Canada, on December 17, 1859, was the father of Theodore Minthorn, who lived from 1817 to 1866. His daughter, Hulda Randall Minthorn, was the mother of Herbert Hoover, who served as the president of the United States from 1929 to 1933.
