Hu Haokang

Hu Haokang, born November 11, 2008 in Beijing, is the child of Chinese actors Hu Jun and Lu Fang. As Hu Jun’s son, he has taken part in public events and variety shows several times while growing up, gradually becoming a focus of public attention.

In May 2015, Hu Haokang and his father Hu Jun appeared together on Hunan TV’s parent–child reality show Where Are We Going, Dad? (season 3). During the show he displayed a calm and composed demeanor and was nicknamed “the composed one” by the media. His first public appearance was on August 7, 2015, when he took part in the variety show Day Day Up for its special “Dad’s Night” segment, performing alongside his father and other family members.

Beyond television variety shows, Hu Haokang has also participated in a number of important family and social events. On November 14, 2015, he established a godson relationship with well-known actress Carina Lau (Liu Jialing). In February 2016 he traveled to Tibet with his father Hu Jun and family to offer prayers and blessings, where he displayed good manners and composure. On May 18, 2016, when Hu Jun and his junior colleague Huang Zhizhong co-starred in the play The People’s Enemy, Hu Haokang also appeared at the performance, showing the closeness of family ties.

Regarding his education and growth, Hu Haokang’s family background has given him rich experiences; he has taken part in outdoor activities across several regions, including Shaanxi, Yunnan, Fujian, and Xinjiang, carrying out various tasks and activities. His assignments on Where Are We Going, Dad? included escape-room style tests, fruit picking, outdoor military training, and searching for ingredients, demonstrating his adaptability and sense of responsibility.

In April 2023, Hu Haokang attended the premiere of the Jackie Chan–starring film Dragon Horse Spirit, showing his attention to developments in the film industry. His family background and public behavior have given him a certain influence among young people, though his primary identity remains that of a family member and public figure. Reports say he has shown attentiveness, a low-key manner, and a serious attitude in media and public view, and has been described as a “cool, aloof ‘CEO’ type.”
