Carmen Choi

Cai Jiamin, executive director of Sunrise International, a member of the Shenzhen Municipal Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), and a member of the 13th Guangdong Provincial CPPCC. She took over her father’s portfolio of businesses, spanning toys, real estate, and commerce and trade, with total assets exceeding HK$8 billion. She is relatively well known in Hong Kong social circles, often attending charity events; the family party she hosts costs nearly HK$1 million.

She is also investing in the confectionery industry, planning to invest nearly RMB 100 million to establish a candy factory, with the target brand named “SweetGirl.” Public information does not disclose her educational background.

In terms of family and marriage, Cai Jiamin married Ma Hongming on December 28, 2007, the son of CPPCC member and Dacheng Group chairman Ma Jiezhang. On May 17, 2008, their daughter was born, weighing 7.3 pounds. The baby’s English name is Chelsi, with the Chinese name yet to be decided by the grandparents. The baby had a relatively large head at birth and was delivered via cesarean section, with Ma Hongming by the mother’s side throughout the delivery.
