William Alvin Pitt

William Alvin Pitt (March 24, 1941 – 2008) was an American businessperson, best known as the father of actor Brad Pitt.

He was born on March 24, 1941, in Shawnee, Pottawatomie County, Oklahoma, to Alvin Monroe Pitt and Elizabeth Jean Brown. Growing up in Oklahoma, William came from a modest family background and carried those values into his own family life.

William married and together with his wife raised three children: Brad Pitt, Douglas Mitchell Pitt, and a daughter.
