Lady Catherine Fortescue was the daughter of Hugh Fortescue, the 1st Earl of Fortescue, and Hester Grenville. Hester Grenville was an English noblewoman and the daughter of Elizabeth Wyndham, a British artist and writer born in 1720 and deceased in 1769. Elizabeth Wyndham was the daughter of William Wyndham Grenville, the 1st Baron Grenville, a British Prime Minister and politician who lived from 1759 to 1834. Lady Catherine Allen died in 1900.
