Introduction
Yongjing Prince Zhu Youyun was born on June 29, 1481, and died on January 17, 1507. He was the eighth son of Emperor Xianzong of Ming, and his mother was Empress Xiaohui Shao. In the twenty-third year of the Chenghua reign (1487), he was granted the title of Prince of Yong. In the twelfth year of the Hongzhi reign (1499), he was relocated to Hengzhou.
Zhu Youyun was known for his filial piety, respectfulness, and prudence. He had a gentle and elegant personality and was fond of studying. In the second year of the Zhengde reign (1507), an earthquake occurred, causing the palace to collapse. Zhu Youyun died in this disaster, and he was posthumously titled Prince of Yongjing.
