Liu Li

Liu Li is the granddaughter of Zhu De, a founding father of the People’s Republic of China and the first of its Ten Marshals. She is the daughter of Zhu De’s only daughter, Zhu Min. Born into a family with a deep revolutionary background, Liu Li received a good education and grew up in Beijing.

Her mother, Zhu Min, studied in the Soviet Union at the Moscow Lenin Teachers College before returning to China to teach in the Russian Department at Beijing Normal University. Influenced by her family’s tradition, Liu Li values education, culture, and modesty, maintaining a quiet and composed lifestyle.

Liu Li has long been an active participant in family gatherings and commemorative events honoring Zhu De. She attends annual family reunions and remembrance ceremonies, serving as a bridge between generations of the Zhu family.

Although she keeps a low public profile, Liu Li resides mainly in Beijing. As a descendant of Zhu De, she plays an important role in preserving her family’s legacy and continuing the spirit of dedication and integrity associated with her grandfather.
