Wei Wei

Wei Wei is a male actor, born April 21, 1983, in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province. He is a graduate of the Central Academy of Drama. He became known to the public for a KFC advertisement in which he portrayed the “little apprentice” character described as going down the Tianshan in search of Ziyuan, earning him the nickname “the KFC boy.” He officially entered the entertainment industry in 2004 after playing Sheng Fou (盛否) in the TV series 六指琴魔 (Six-Fingered Zither Demon).

- 2005: Joined Hunan TV as a host, presenting FUN4娱乐, and underwent diction correction. In the same year, he appeared in the web drama 悠悠寸草心 as 玉辉, and gradually became a regular actor on Hunan TV.

Thereafter, he gradually established himself in film and television.

- 2006: Played Sun Tian in 天下第一宴.

- 2007: Appeared as 欧阳 (Ouyang) and 白少爷 (Young Master Bai) in 爱情魔方.

- 2008: Played 谭向伟 in 人间烟火.

- 2009: Played 陈皓天 in 今生今世, and in the same year finished shooting 大丫鬟 as 武志强.

- 2010: Co-hosted 花儿朵朵 on Qinghai TV with 马可 and 王乔; played 方平 in 欢喜婆婆俏媳妇.

- 2011: Played 李少贤 in 幸福小丈夫, and had a cameo in 唐宫美人天下 as 马仁轨 in November.

- 2013: Hosted 奇舞飞扬, and served as the manager for 辛晓琪 in 第1季 of 我是歌手.

- 2015: Appeared as 潘子 in 盗墓笔记, and subsequently continued active work in numerous films, TV dramas, and variety shows. In 2016 he earned the nickname “魏三岁” (Wei San Sui / Wei Three-Year-Old).

In recent years, his starring and supporting roles include 无双花木兰, 哪咤降妖记, 狄仁杰之通天赤狐, 狄仁杰之九龙玄棺, 蛇之战, 莲花楼, 以爱为营, among others. He has worked across period (ancient), modern, and fantasy genres, appearing in many films, TV series, and web series.

Personal life: Wei Wei comes from a single-parent family and lives with his mother. He registered his marriage in November 2014 with Tong Chenjie (佟晨洁); they held their wedding in Changsha in 2015, and the couple reportedly met through industry colleagues.
