Introduction
Princess Yongqing was the daughter of the fifth Ming Emperor, Emperor Xuanzong Zhu Zhanji. Her birth and death years are not known, but she died in the year 1433. Her mother was Empress Hu. There are no records of Princess Yongqing in the Ming Dynasty official histories; the main sources are the "Ming Shilu" (Veritable Records of the Ming) and related chronicles. According to the epitaph of Hu Shanxiang, she died on the fifth day of the eleventh month of the eighth year of the Zhengtong era (approximately 1433), at the age of over ten, having died prematurely before marriage. She was buried on the southern slope of Yanquan Mountain. Her elder sister was Princess Shunde, who later married the Marquess Shi Jing. According to "Wanshu Zaji" (Miscellaneous Records of Wanshu), Princess Yongqing and her descendants mostly died young or prematurely, including several princesses during the reigns of Emperor Xianzong, Emperor Shizong, Emperor Muzong, and Emperor Shenzong of the Ming Dynasty. They are all buried in Jīnshān, Wancheng County.
