Jiang Mei

Jiang Mei, born in 1972 in Beijing, China. She graduated in 1991 from the Beijing Dance Academy with a major in Ballet Performance. In the same year, she joined the China Central Ballet Troupe, serving as a leading performer and earning the honor of a National First-Class Actor.

In her professional career, Jiang Mei has hosted several television programs, including "Soundtrack of Film and Television" and "Dance World." Her hosting style is characterized by gentleness, earning her popularity and respect from audiences for her elegant demeanor. From 1996 to 1997, she hosted "MTV Tianship Village." Starting in 1999, she became the host of CCTV-8's "Soundtrack of Film and Television" and CCTV-3's "Dance World."

Aside from her hosting pursuits, Jiang Mei has also explored music. She was a signed singer with Dadi Records and released a folk-style single titled "Past Emotions." Although she initially aimed to develop her career in singing, her demanding schedule, especially her performances with the ballet troupe, made it difficult to balance both careers. Consequently, she decided to end her collaboration with the music company.

In her acting career, Jiang Mei has appeared in numerous TV dramas and stage productions, including "Heilongjiang Trilogy," "Raging Seas," "Intimate Lover," "The Human Stove God," and "Thunder Bodhisattva." Additionally, she performed in the ballet "The Nutcracker."

In 1998, through an interview on "Soundtrack of Film and Television," Jiang Mei presented a gentle and refined image, which caught the attention of producers and led her to venture into the film and television industry. Her artistic endeavors have helped establish a warm and approachable public image.

Personal interests of Jiang Mei include pets, particularly dogs, and colors such as black, white, and pink. She is also interested in archaeology-themed books and fashion magazines. Her diverse experiences in hosting and performing showcase her multifaceted professional identity.
