Introduction
Garsang (Mongolian: Галсан; 1675–1722), of the Ulianghan clan. He was a Mongolian prince titled Prince of the Outer Banner and a Noble Consort of the First Rank under the Qing Dynasty, son of Zash's lineage. During the Kangxi period, Mongolian nobility established political connections with the imperial family through marriages. In October 1692, Garsang married the fifth daughter of Emperor Kangxi, the Noble Consort Duanjing. In 1704 (the 43rd year of Kangxi's reign), he succeeded as the Kharachin Dureng Princes. In 1711, after the death of his wife, Garsang was demoted due to misconduct. He died in 1722, at the age of 47, during the 61st year of Kangxi's reign. Historical records provide limited details about his personal deeds, mainly noting his origins, marriage, succession, and demotion. He belonged to the Ulianghan clan, which was linked to the Qing Dynasty's system of noble titles and borderland governance among the Mongolian tribes. There are no clear existing records regarding his offspring or the subsequent inheritance of his title.
