Lin Xitong

Lin Xitong, born on December 10, 2009, in Taipei, Taiwan, China. Her father is actor Lin Ruiyang, and her mother is actress Zhang Ting. In March 2010, Zhang Ting publicly shared photos of Lin Xitong when she was only a few months old. That same year, Lin Ruiyang and Zhang Ting also revealed pictures of their daughter. In 2012, Zhang Ting changed her daughter's name to "Lin Jialing."

During her childhood, Lin Xitong received a strict family education. Her father, Lin Ruiyang, is known for doting on his children and often played with them, while her mother, Zhang Ting, was responsible for family discipline, implementing more rigorous household rules. For example, she was sometimes punished or required to stand for mistakes, and she needed to ask for permission before eating. The family’s emphasis on education was also reflected in hiring dedicated teachers, including a Harvard Ph.D. as an English tutor, to ensure her proper learning.

In July 2014, she accompanied Zhang Ting to participate in the Beijing Satellite TV parent-child program "Mom, Listen to Me." Later, in March 2015, Lin Xitong and her mother took part in the Zhejiang Satellite TV cross-field entrepreneurial reality show "Born with Talent." Her performance on the show, including her initial shyness in front of the camera and her adorable demeanor during the live broadcast, attracted public attention.

On October 25, 2019, Lin Xitong released the song "Knock, I Like You (Parent-Child Version)," followed by the release of the same-titled song "Knock, I Like You" on November 12. On March 4, 2020, she and her mother recorded a funny video at home, which was posted on social media. The video gained attention for its humor and natural interactions.

In March 2025, Lin Xitong participated as an invited model in the AS Dalio 2025 Fall/Winter fashion show at Shanghai Fashion Week, showcasing her involvement in the fashion industry. Her debut on the runway and her responses to appearance-related controversies during interviews demonstrated her confidence and composure regarding her image.

Family-wise, Lin Xitong has a half-brother named Lin Yu (born in 1990, who attended Beijing Film Academy and is now an actor and singer) and a younger brother, Lin Binghan, born on January 6, 2012. Her family members often emphasize her parents’ parenting style—loving yet strict, with a strong focus on education and family values.
