Introduction
Ninghua Yi Jian Wang Zhu Jihuan was born on June 29, 1387, and died in 1450. His courtesy name was Yijian. He was a prince of the Ming Dynasty, specifically Ninghua Wang. He was the twenty-fifth grandson of Ming Taizu Zhu Yuanzhang, and his mother was Lady Fan. He was born during the 20th year of Hongwu (1387). In the second year of Yongle (1404), he was awarded the title of Ninghua Prince, with his fiefdom in Taiyuan Prefecture. In the tenth year of Xuande (1445), Emperor Yingzong once granted him over sixty acres of land in Gucheng Township, Taiyuan County, Shanxi. During the Tumu Crisis, when Emperor Yingzong was captured by the Mongols, Zhu Jihuan attempted to gather his six sons to fight against the enemy, but he was not permitted to do so. He passed away in the first year of Jingtai (1450) at the age of sixty-four, posthumously titled Yijian. Two years later, his eldest son Zhu Meirang inherited the title of Ninghua Wang.
Regarding his family, Zhu Jihuan had multiple wives and concubines. Among them:
