Introduction

Chen Xingyu, born on August 12, 1976, is the eldest daughter of Taiwanese politician Chen Shui-bian and Wu Shuzhen. She graduated in 1994 from Taipei First Girls High School (Beiyi Girls), and in 2000, she obtained a Bachelor's degree in Dentistry from Yangming University in Taiwan. That same year, she began working as a dentist at Taipei Chang Gung Memorial Hospital. In 2001, she married orthopedic doctor Zhao Jianming, and in 2002 she gave birth to her eldest son, followed by a second son in 2004, and a third son in 2007. In 2005, she earned a Master's degree from the Institute of Clinical Dentistry at National Taiwan University.

Regarding her family, her father is former Taiwanese President Chen Shui-bian, her mother is Wu Shuzhen, her husband is Zhao Jianming, and her children include Zhao Yian, Zhao Yiting, and Zhao Yiou. Her brother is Chen Zhizhong, and her sister-in-law is Huang Ruiling.

Chen Xingyu was sentenced to one year in prison in January 2009 for involvement in a perjury case, later reduced by six months due to her confession. She has frequently expressed her disdain for the media and has had conflicts with journalists. She has also made comments and taken actions related to political events, and has been involved in controversies concerning her family and personal affairs.
